Edificio Virtual (Virtual Building) is a project from the IRSST, the Regional Institute of Health and Security at Work of Madrid. Which included in this seventh edition, developed by Imagina Bienestar, a VR experience for Oculus Quest and Go. Immersing the user in the environment of a virtual construction site and warning him about the risks of not respecting the prevention measures.
During the game, the manager and some co-workers guide the player through a building under construction where several security infringements are taking place. Ending up in an accident that makes him fall from a third floor. After that, a NPC explains what were the things that should have been done different.
The application also includes a test where the user has to find the security infringements in the same building where the experience takes place, moving freely through the construction site.
I had the chance to work as a Unity developer alongside a small team form by me and other two 3D artists. This edition of Edificio Virtual, as the previous ones, also includes a series of animated videos explaining other prevention and security measures.
